Virtual Biz Group Code of Ethics
The Code of Ethics notifies the public that our members maintain the highest level of professional ethics and service, and abide by the laws of their country and community.
These are not goals, but specific standards of behavior. They are rules by which true professionals abide.
In recognition of my professional obligation to my clients and my peers, I will:
- Conduct business in a professional manner.
- Operate within all local, state, and federal laws, rules, and regulations.
- Accurately represent my business services in all marketing, advertising, and promotional activities.
- Undertake only that work for which I am qualified and capable of providing within the time frame and price agreed upon.
- Demonstrate a commitment to the quality of work and results obtained for each client.
- Operate within the same professional standards and practices as are expected from an on-site contractor.
- Work within my community and field of expertise to enhance the image and reputation of all Virtual Service Providers.
- Always act in a professional manner, being honest, morally responsible and competent.
- Conduct myself with respect toward the community at large.
- Avoid any agreement or contract that may be in conflict with the interests of my client.
- Preserve all confidential information obtained during the course of my duties, and not use the information for personal gain nor in a way that would be damaging to a client.
- Develop a network of experts and professionals by contributing resources of my knowledge and abilities.
- Participate to the best of my ability in the dissemination of knowledge pertaining to the general development and image of the Virtual Business Group.
- Guard the client's interests and privacy, and advise my client wisely and honestly.
In recognition of our obligation to fellow members and the profession, I shall:
- Display honesty and respect to fellow members at all times.
- Be honest in all professional relationships.
- Endeavor to share my experience, special knowledge and questions with the other members of our community.
- Cooperate with other professionals in achieving understanding and in identifying problems.
- Obtain permission for the use of, and fairly acknowledge the work of, others.
- Not take advantage of the lack of knowledge or inexperience on the part of others for personal gain.
- Uphold the high ideals of the Virtual Business Group as outlined in this Code of Ethics .
